Course Description

The AOVET principles course with cadaver lab is focused on hands-on application of the fracture treatment milestones delivered by the principles course

 

Target participants

This is an advanced course suitable for veterinary surgeons with previous experience in small animal orthopedic surgery. Prior attendance at an AO Principles of Fracture Management course is required.

Course objectives

  • Execute the surgical approaches to long bones and direct fracture reduction techniques
  • Demonstrate fracture treatment with plates in accordance with the AO principles
  • Evaluate postoperative radiographs to judge the fracture repair and detect the technical pitfalls that might lead to a potential complication

Registration fee

Advanced course: EUR 1,200

10 percent discount for AOVET paying members and SCIVAC members, 5 percent early registration fee. Maximum 15 percent discount.
